American Cherry is prized for high-end interior applications due to the range of red tones in the heartwood.
Furniture and cabinet making, high class joinery, flooring, architectural joinery, exterior joinery, mouldings, doors, kitchen cabinets, panelling, boat interiors, turning and carving.
Colour – The sapwood of American Cherry is creamy white. Heartwood of American Cherry varies from rich red to reddish brown and will darken on exposure to light.
Grain – The wood has a fine uniform straight grain and may naturally contain brown pith flecks and small gum pockets.
Texture – Smooth texture

Weight – 580 kg/m³.
Ease Of Drying – It dries fairly quickly with moderately large shrinkage, but is dimensionally stable after kilning. Kiln dried stock supplied.
Preservative Treatment – The heartwood is moderately resistant to preservative treatment.
